The Dublin Economy Podcast is a new series from the four Dublin Local Authorities in partnership with Grant Thornton.
The podcast explores key topics from the latest Dublin Economic Monitor – from macroeconomics, housing and business activity to consumer spending and trade. It will be published quarterly, with each episode shining a spotlight on economic activity in one of the Local Authority areas.
In episode 1, Andrew Webb and Lorcan Blake of Grant Thornton sit down to discuss key findings from the September 2025 Dublin Economic Monitor, including tariffs and trade, a modest weakening in the labour market, and a strong early summer period for hospitality. Also in this episode, Ray O’Donoghue – Dublin City Council’s Night-Time Economy Advisor – joins to update on key initiatives underway as part of the city’s Night-Time Economy Strategy.
